Exactly what it sounds like, they are stories that have infinite chapters. There should be a tab specifically for infinity stories, and perhaps a limiting factor as to how many you can create. Maybe limit it so that you can only post one every week/month.
Also perhaps make it cost like 100 points to make one in order to a)create a purpose for points to be used and b)prevent spamming
We should be able to have a self destuct button on a story that doesn't get views and/or drafts within a certain amount of time.
Also, we should have a thing where if all the writers for a story agree, they can delete it (?)
And, there should be another part to Story Wars - the story archive. The archive could show all finished stories so that people could be able to read old ones that have been lost to the ages.
At the moment the little title-and-picture boxes for each story show the number of views and the number of votes made. It'd be good for a few other bits of info to be available, such as:
- Current chapter
- Current phase - voting vs. writing
- Time left in current phase
- Number of drafts written if it's in writing phase
Not all of this information is as useful as the rest of it, but certainly the chapter number and phase would be pretty handy.
There should be a little thing on a story, and when you hover over it, it shows you how many people have subscribed to the story. That would be nice, because then you know how many people actually like the story, rather than how many have seen it.
I've noticed that when a notification appears in light green at the top of any story war page you happen to be on, it only stays on for a 'short period of time'. By the time I go to click on it, it's gone in a FLASH. So then I go to my notification section under my profile, and more times than not, the notification is not listed.
Could the notification appear longer than before, and maybe in a different color, to better attract attention. Unless one is actually looking at their computer screen, they'll miss the notification.
